Danica is rooted in collaboration, nuance, and expressive storytelling. Featuring vocalist Audrey
Silver, pianist Hyuna Park, bassist Jennifer Vincent, and guitarist Alicyn Yaffee, the group unites four
accomplished musicians with a shared focus on thoughtful interpretation and creative interplay.

Audrey Silver’s vocal style is known for its clarity and emotional depth. Hot House Jazz Magazine
describes her voice as
“exquisite—warm and inviting, pairing a velvet-laden timbre with impeccable phrasing.” Her approach
centers the band’s repertoire, which includes original compositions and fresh takes on jazz standards.

Hyuna Park adds a distinctive voice on piano, marked by sensitivity and rhythmic drive. She was awarded
first prize at the 2018 International Women in Jazz Festival and has been praised by All About Jazz for
her “dancing rhythmic sense, fluid phrasing, refined harmonic taste and precious touch.”

Jennifer Vincent brings decades of experience as a bassist, having performed, toured, and recorded with
artists including the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Betty Carter, Abbey Lincoln, KD Lang, Fantasia, Vanessa
Williams, and Patti LaBelle. Her playing provides a steady, grounded presence that supports and enhances
the group’s sound.

Alicyn Yaffee contributes a unique and personal approach to the guitar. All About Jazz describes her as
having “bell-clear guitar playing... angular and cranky and melodic and progressive. She emulates no one
save herself.” Her playing adds a wide palette of textures, from lyrical lines to more exploratory
moments.
