Audrey Silver CD Release Performance – January 17, 7PM

I’m so excited to be doing the first performance of the music from my new CD.  It’s a jazz tribute to the musical Oklahoma with stunning arrangements by pianist and arranger Bruce Barth (who will be playing that night!).

This musical has always had a special place in my heart.  I convinced my parents to do a screening of the movie for my 10th birthday party…yes, I know, I was “different”….and nothing much has changed 😀. Of course, my connection to the music and the story has deepened.  I’ve learned so much about the history of the state and the story of the creation of the musical, some of which I’ll talk about during my performance.

I hope you’ll join us for a little history and lots of gorgeous music by one of the greatest American songwriting teams, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein.
